Pure Country in Granbury

I have been here twice and the 1lb burger is the best burger I've had in my life. I literally drove over an hour from where i live to eat the burgers there.

Good food and good prices!

Home town feel . Great.food. wonderful people. Family owned. Parents opened, started ran first years. Now daughter her husband, grandkids run it. Very clean.

We ordered the Cajun catfish and it was delicious. It was served hot with fries and coleslaw, hush puppies.

I have been in this restaurant many times but tonight has been my worst experience arrived around 6:15 PM on a Thursday night drove all the way from cleburne.... upon arrival we got our drinks and ordered a appetizer here it is 30 min has gone by and still no appetizer.... 2 others just came in waiter asked what they wanted to drink they said sweet tea he said we just ran out....keep in mind they dont close til 8pm...still waiting on appetizer...ok 1 hr later no appetizer our order came out wrong all the owner did was blame it on his staff never apologized for anything or took responsibility for anything food has declined in taste since last visit I will not be going back nor will I tell anyone about this place...they need the original owners in here before the doors close!

Had the omelet with everything in it was the best in town!!!

Down home comfy place. Wife and I enjoyed the atmosphere and the friendly staff. I had heard and read good things about this place. So now that I have been there myself...I can attest that I absolutely heard and read the truth. The food is good. Portions are great for the price. I had grilled pork chops with side salad and ranch style beans. Came with a slice of toast with butter and some cream gravy. Wife had a grilled chicken sandwich with onion rings. We shared a slice of cheesecake drizzled with chocolate and cherries. Add our two teas and it was only $25. I highly recommend Pure Country Cafe to anyone and everyone who hasn't been there.

This little cafe is worth the stop. We were just passing by and happened to see it. So we stopped in. Quaint, friendly place. Staff are magnificent. Always making sure you got what you need. I love these hole in the walls. They’re always the best.Stop in and give them your business. I love supporting the local communities. I travel full time, so I go to a lot. Salad was excellent. Chicken fried steak was so good. The bathrooms are clean and you have a lil company. Heheheh

Not fancy but food is delicious

The food was delicious! I paid what I would to eat fast food. This cafe was much better though

We had cajun fried catfish (3 large pieces), perfect French fries, coleslaw, 6hot hush puppies with butter to dip them in and a drink. All for 8.95 and enough ffg or two people to share. The catfish was superb as was the whole meal.

Best place for variety of burgers. HUGE chicken fried steak. Recommend pickles and dragon bites for appetizers. Very casual and clean. You will love the atmosphere and employees.

Small town cafe, is exactly what you expect. Clean, friendly with great comfort food. Our first time there. Ordered chicken strips, fried catfish and porkchop dinners. The portions were generous and tasted like grandma's cooking. It was so good. I highly recommend you stop by and enjoy your meal at Pure Country Cafe. We did.

We all ordered at the same time. However we did not get our order at the same time. Order was wrong, items were missing. This was all rectified.

I had a 3piece Evelyn fish with fries, coleslaw,and hush puppies and a drink. The fish was crispy and it was zesty tasting moist and flakey.the fries were golden brown and not oily, the Coleslaw was good. The hush puppies were also good. Not doughy. My food overall is 2 thumbs up.

This is for sure the best place in Hood County .The food is ALWAYS (I've been here at least 10x)hot,and the salad is fresh.Our drinks stay full and we never wait longer than 15 minutes for our plates.I've had 4 different items and never been sorry .Each one just as satisfying as the other.The atmosphere is simple & clean and the owners are always visibly working,and never fail to check on us more than a couple of times.Go eat here you won't be sorry .Just right and the best food for your money.

I found it!!! If you read my other reviews I have no good food reviews for Hood county. I have finally found a home.I had the build your own breakfast, four items, two sausage patties, biscuits and gravy, two eggs and two pancakes. The eggs tasted organic, the pancakes were huge and fluffy, the gravy I mixed one of the sausage patties with and it was home gravy, not instant. I think it was 6.89 for four items which is a steal. Great place, great service, I'd recommend this place to anyone who loves places that live up to it's name.

Thought it was supposed to be home cooked type meals. Had a frozen type hashbrown patty and Jimmy Dean sausage for breakfast. It was ok but certainly not what I was expecting according to other reviews

Pure Country is exactly what its name says, exquisitely a country taste... down home service... never an embarrassment to it"s guests... exquisite deserts... eyes always on your table toward your every need. The owner apologizes that there is not more room for customers but that's because they just keep coming in. There are rumors that he has been asked about expansion and suggestions for a way forward to accommodate more happy customers. Pure Country has a happy following of satisfied customers. You should try it and see for yourselves. PC is the place for YOU !

Their chicken fried steak was amazing. However, my son wanted a pizza and they pulled a Totinos pizza out of the freezer. I mean I could buy 4 of those at the grocery store for the same price.

Great home style food and friendly staff! Smaller dine in area but they utilized their space well with nice comfy booths and tables. Quick dine-in and take out service as well! The price is beyond superb for the quality and quantity of food they give!

My wife and I love Pure Country Cafe! The food is always awesome and made fresh. I’d recommend to anyone.

Wow! So good! The omelette is massive and delicious! Gravy.... Mmmm, perfection! Will definitely be going there again! Atmosphere was down home and while it's not super fast, it's worth the wait and the servers are really nice.

Won't be back.Cob webs, dirty table, filthy ceiling vent, smelled of a greasy spoon diner. The lady at the cash register only looked up from what she was doing when we walked in. Did not greet. When we left she was on a personal cell phone call and was very loud. Definitely, not the same quality of food or service as before.

By far the best hidden gem in Hood county! You're treated like family and the food and service are simply exceptional. Comfort food and very non-commercial. No restaurant can compete with Pure Country. Excellent, excellent, excellent! You gotta go...once you do...you'll be back over and over. They serve the best burgers ever, and breakfast all day. Home made pan breads and puddings. You've gotta go!

This was our 1st time to visit here. Had heard from friends on FB about this place. The food was great. We had more than we both could eat. My wife had ordered a side salad. It was enough for 3 people. The rest of the food was portion just right. We had two appetizers, chicken fried steak, and the chicken fried chicken steak with two sides and dessert. The food was great. The service was excellent. They were always coming by to see if you needing anything. We will definitely be going back.

Absolutely LOVED IT!!! EXCELLENT FOOD (I had chicken fried steak and my husband had a great burger) customer service was the best part of the visit, the people were so helpful and treated us like one of the family!! Highly recommend Pure Country Cafe!!!!!!!
